Sqew burst onto the UK street food scene with an ambitious vision - to elevate shawarma from late-night takeaway to culinary experience. Their award-winning authentic recipes and passionate approach to Middle Eastern cuisine deserved a digital presence that could capture the vibrancy, authenticity, and mouth-watering appeal of their food.

We created an immersive digital experience that transports visitors into the heart of Sqew's culinary world, making every interaction feel like stepping into a bustling Middle Eastern food market.

The Challenge

The UK food delivery landscape is brutally competitive, dominated by established chains with massive marketing budgets and ingrained customer habits. Sqew faced the challenge of communicating authentic Middle Eastern heritage in a market often satisfied with westernized versions. They needed to appeal to adventurous foodies seeking authenticity while remaining accessible to mainstream customers.

The digital experience had to work flawlessly across devices, load instantly despite rich media content, and integrate seamlessly with multiple third-party platforms while maintaining Sqew's unique brand voice.

Our Approach

Sensory Digital Experience

We approached Sqew's website as a sensory experience, not just a digital menu. Rich, full-screen imagery captures steam rising from fresh shawarma, the char on perfectly grilled meats, and the vibrant colors of fresh vegetables and sauces. Subtle animations bring the site to life - hover effects that reveal ingredient details, scrolling that mimics the unwrapping of a wrap, and transitions that feel like turning through a cookbook.

The technical architecture supports multi-location management with individual menus, real-time availability updates, and seamless integration with major delivery platforms. We built an intelligent location finder that doesn't just show nearest branches but factors in current wait times and delivery coverage.
