How Universal Energy books electrical work from home and commercial buyers on one site
Universal Energy is an NICEIC-approved electrical contractor serving homes and businesses across the UK - the electrical sister brand to Universal Gas.

The challenge
Universal Energy sells the same accreditation and workmanship to two very different buyers: homeowners booking a single job like an EICR, a rewire or an EV charge point, and commercial buyers who need testing, compliance and larger installations on account. The site had to make either buyer feel it was built for them, and turn a vague "can you quote?" into a structured enquiry the office can price.
What we built
- A dual-audience architecture with clear domestic and commercial routes, each with its own language and services from the first screen
- A staged "book an electrician" enquiry flow that turns a job into a few plain questions - what, where, when - instead of one intimidating form
- Service pages for the work buyers actually search: EICRs, PAT testing, fuse boards, rewires and EV charge points, with NICEIC credibility carried throughout
- A brand aligned with its Universal Gas sibling, so the group reads as one trusted operator across gas, heating and electrical
- Full SEO output, analytics and uptime monitoring, with domestic and commercial enquiries tracked separately
The result
One build now serves homeowners and commercial buyers with deliberate routes rather than a single generic contact page, and the office receives structured, quotable enquiries. Presented deliverable-led: no traffic metric is claimed for this engagement.
Short, boring and the same on almost every build. That consistency is the point: nothing here is rented, and all of it is yours.
